Chef Karen O - Inspiring, Educating, & Creating Delicious Choices for Healthy Living
Yoga has been shown to counteract many degenerative changes such as loss of bone density, bone quality, muscle mass and balance as well as degradations in cognitive abilities, circulation and immunity. These changes undermine our ability to function independently as we age. My Yoga For Bone Health instruction is free of impact, which can cause injury and joint wear-and-tear. This program can help you to improve bone strength, bone density and bone quality and to build strength, muscle and balance. One happy side effect of my program is that it can slow cognitive decline. Check out my FITNESS page for more information on counteracting degenerative changes without drugs. Also, check out this podcast.
Breakfast does not have to be sweet. Above is an example of a savory breakfast porridge I enjoy. If you have an instant pot, just add all ingredients and pressure cook it for 4 minutes, let the pressure come down naturally, and season it however you like. I like nutritional yeast, garlic granules and salt.
Ingredients for one serving: 1/3 cup red lentils 1 cup filtered water 1/2 onion, diced 1/2 bunch of any greens 5 - 7 shiitake mushrooms, sliced High in fiber, protein, B vitamins and many other nutrients, this can be put together quickly before you exercise or shower. Lab work is a great tool to have in our health and wellness toolbox. I am not a medical doctor and cannot receive lab results from the lab, read or interpret labs or diagnose or treat any medical conditions. What I can do is share with you Dr. Alan's Hopkins' optimal functional ranges for labs, guide you to resources to help you understand your labs; share with you food, lifestyle and supplements you may want to consider based on your lab results and share anything that I see that raises potential concerns that you may want to investigate further or discuss with your doctor. If you'd like to order your own labs at a reduced price saving from 50-80% from YourLabwork, please use my affiliate link. I know the founder of the company. They use a safe, trusted, confidential lab, and pricing is competitive. Making a purchase through this link won't cost you anything but a small percentage of your purchase goes to support my work here at My Food Fitness And Fun. Thank you! I have a couple of different options for helping you with your labs. If you would like to speak with me about helping you with your labs, please contact me here.
